Course home page

Required Text:
Shankar, Principles of Quantum Mechanics, 2nd Edition

Supplementary Text:
Griffiths, Introduction to Quantum Mechanics, 2nd Edition
This has been the primary text, but it is too expensive, I think.
Shankar covers more material.

Other books on reserve in the Physics library:
Park, Introduction to the Quantum Theory
This has been the text from time to time.
Gasiorowicz, Quantum Physics
This has been the text from time to time.
Liboff, Introductory Quantum Mechanics
Another possible text, but I am not very familiar with it.
Cohen-Tannoudji, Quantum Mechanics
Two volumes. Comprehensive, but somewhat formidable. Use for reference.
Sakurai, Modern Quantum Mechanics
More advanced. Often the P580 text.
Schiff, Quantum Mechanics
   A classic advanced text.

Even more: (QM is a popular topic)
Landau & Lifschitz, Messiah, Mertzbacher, Hecht, Capri, Dicke & Wittke, French & Taylor, Das & Melissinos, Abers, etc.
